KONSEHO sa Dakbayan sa Mandaue nahimo nga finalist sa Local Legislative Award of Excellence for Highly Urbanized Cities.
Gidawat ni Bise Mayor Carlo Fortuna ug mga sakop sa konseho ang Award of Recognition niadtong Hunyo 19, atol sa 2019 End Term National Assembly sa Philippine Councilors League (PCL), nga gihimo sa usa sa mga dakong hotel sa Dakbayan sa Sugbo.
Ang maong pasidungog ang gikan sa Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) ug sa PCL.
Wala man nalangkat sa konseho sa Mandaue ang kadaugan nationwide human nga ang Sangguniang Panlungsod sa Dakbayan sa Quezon nga gipangamahanan ni Bise mayor Joy Belmonte ang nidaug.
Apan dako na nga pasalamat ug garbo alang kanila sa Mandaue City Council, nga niabot sila sa National nga tigi.
Ang criteria alang sa maong Local Legislative Awards naglakip sa responsiveness sa mga legislative agenda, effectiveness ug efficiency sa konseho, availability ug kaandam sa mga dokumento, ug uban pa.
Niadtong Disyembre 2018, ang Dakbayan sa Mandaue ang nidaog sa tibuok Central Visayas nga tigi, hinungdan nga lakip kini sa 12 nga nakigtigi sa Highly Urbanized Cities nga kategorya.
Ang DILG Local Legislative Award gihatag matag tulo ka tuig, kada human sa usa ka termino sa usa ka konseho.
“The award is jointly organized by the DILG and the Philippine Councilors League in order to recognize exemplary performances of Council’s legislating measures that help build the foundation of meaningful local administration and development,” pagpasabot ni Fortuna.
“I am proud that we have made it to the finals and was adjudged the regional winner for region 7 despite the fact that this was still our first term in office. This recognition is a testament to my belief that the excellence in our work to serve our people is something that we should continually pursue and aspire for, and achieving greatness can be done,” gipadayag ni Fortuna sa Superbalita Cebu.
