P12,000 in shabu seized in Brgy. 25

AN ESTIMATED P12,000 worth of methamphitamine hydrochloride, locally known as “shabu,” was seized in a drug bust in Purok Golaloma II, Barangay 25, Bacolod City Saturday morning, June 22.

The operation conducted by operatives of Police Station 1 led by Police Major Jovil Sedel also led to the arrest of Anthony Silva.

Sedel said Silva was caught selling shabu to a police undercover at about 2 a.m.

Police recovered from Silva’s possession eight sachets of shabu, the P200 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

Sedel said the suspect is detained at station’s custodial facility and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (MAP)
