HERE'S what’s happened.

Mid-tier contenders from Samsung

Samsung has been aggressive lately with its promotions for its A-series phones. These are mid-tier phones without so much compromises to sacrifice what matters.

Quantum computing concerns

Quantum computing, arguably, is something to look out for in the future. It’s an awesome way of crunching through data and coming out on the otherside with awesome things. And with quantum computing projects like that of IBM’s, it’s only a matter of time before we see revolutionary changes in different industries -- AI, weather simulation, health care, crytography.

And speaking of cryptography, despite the fact that quantum computing can possibly advance cryptography to another level and make computer systems more secure, it’s also possible that it will be the same tool that will be used to circumvent the same cryptography. And that’s what Cloudflare hopes to accomplish -- prevent quantum computing from wreaking havoc in the internet.

It’s a long read but this is worth the time to keep ourselves in the know about what Cloudflare is initiating in relation to cryptography in the post-quantum computing world.

The privacy battle in browsers

In as far as data privacy is concerned when going online, I always believe that we all have the power what pieces of information that we want to give out and what we don’t want to give out. Data or information is power. We have the power.

And in the browser wars, it’s beginning to be quite obvious that Google’s Chrome browser isn’t as privacy friendly as we all thought. As Google has become the giant that it has become and seemingly providing all these automagical services for its users in the guise of convenience, it’s also eating away from our privacy.

Check out this article from The Washington Post and find out why, like me, should ditch Chrome and opt for a more privacy-centric browser like Firefox or Brave.
