NGO starts new school year right for pupils

PUPILS of Duquit Elementary School in Mabalacat City started their school year with a host of assistance programs extended to them by members and officers of Quota International of Angeles (QI) over the weekend.

Angeles Quotarians gave 200 school bags and school materials needed by the public school for this school year. The event was part of the group’s social service programs for school communities each year.

And to give pupils a head start, the group also hosted a feeding program and book donation. The group also donated a sewing machine for the school’s livelihood project under Quota’s Hand-in-Hand program.

Quota International also gave cash donation for other materials needed by the school to the delight of the children.

QI of Angeles is active in programs for disadvantaged children, bringing donations for the Sped class, among others. Quotarians are known especially for their service to the deaf, hard-of-hearing, and speech-impaired individuals and poor women and children. Quota members share the values of serving and encouraging others, developing friendships, and promoting international understanding.

Quota International, founded in 1919, is an international service organization that links members of all ages, occupations, and nationalities in a worldwide network of service and friendship.
