Vice mayor-elect: ‘Time to set aside political differences’

CITY of San Fernando vice mayor-elect Jimmy Lazatin urged on Monday, June 24, soon-to-be sworn in political officials to set aside political differences and work together for the common good of the city.

Lazatin made this statement during the opening of the Urbano Dizon Bridge in Barangay Panipuan, as both he and 3rd District Representative-elect Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales called on fellow public servants to bury ill feelings from the previous elections.

“It is now time to work for the common good of the city. Political bickering has no place if we are to move forward in the governance of the city,” Lazatin added.

Lazatin said that it is now time to work together for the needed legislations of the city.

Lazatin said he looks forward to working closely with the new batch of city councilors this coming term.

He added that he sees new trends, as some of the new political personalities in the council will bring in their own brand of legislative approach and agenda.

He said the next council will be more challenging but he will make sure that he will be meticulous in scrutinizing the legislative measures passed by the majority.
