LOCAL officials led the groundbreaking of five buildings in Barangay Jalong in Porac, Pampanga on Monday, June 24, that will consolidate and provide offices for municipal departments and services.
The buildings, located along the national highway, are worth P57 million and include two buildings for the local bureau of fire and police at P7.5 million.
Others include the town's multipurpose building and evacuation center and building facility for the youth.
Led by Mayor Condralito Dela Cruz he told SunStar Pampanga that the funding for the buildings had already been downloaded.
Dela Cruz said the buildings will be part of the legacy of his administration, adding that he hopes the next mayor will see through the full completion of the facilities.
The facilities will provide full office for the Philippine National Police in the town and the local fire departments which are currently housed at the Municipal Hall.
The multipurpose and evacuation buildings will provide venues for multi-purpose use for the town and official functions. The evacuation center will also enable quick response for the evacuation space for local residents and nearby towns.
Dela Cruz added that there is enough remaining funds under his term to shoulder the need to furnish the said buildings.
