Luckily, Davao Region is set at the Southern-most part of Mindanao making it accessible to many beautiful beaches.
But of course, there are beaches that stand out the most.

Dahican (Davao Oriental)
With the current buzz this beach in Mati, Davao Oriental, is getting, there’s nothing much for an introduction.
The name “Dahican” is derived from “dahik,” the word locals use to describe their act of coming in from the sea to nest, just like sea turtles, and making it their sanctuary.
The island has become the Garden of Eden for people wanting to live an island life. Not to mention the open beach surrounded by tall coconut trees, fine white sand and powerful waves, it is no longer worth arguing that Dahican is every tourist’s bucket list.
The island’s oriental vibe accentuated with its clear and unobstructed view of the ocean is definitely worth posted on your Instagram feed.
Annual surfing competition and rave parties such as Summerfrolic are celebrated in the island.
Canibad (Island Garden City of Samal)
Canibad is situated on the other side of the Island Garden City of Samal (Igacos). It is facing Davao Oriental.
The island has been a favorite destination, both people of Samal (called Samaleños) and tourists.
It is not a crowded place unlike other beaches in Samal. One catch though. This beautiful destination with soft sand and glass-like waters is a tough one to pursue as you would encounter a rough and bumpy road before getting there. But the struggle is all worth cherishing once you get there.
The island is also popular as it has big rocks that beach goers can climb to and can jump from into the water, which is definitely not for the faint of heart.
Little Boracay (Davao Occidental)
Located in Sta. Maria, Davao Occidental, Little Boracay is not as crowded and festive as its “big brother” Boracay in Panay Island, Western Visayas. But never underestimate the beach’s natural powderized white sand and pristine waters.
Tourists have described the place as very simple, quiet and untouchably beautiful beach.
Locals said Little Boracay is a clear picture of how Boracay used to look like – not too commercialized.
There is a small beach resort perfect for family and friends outing.
If you want to visit this place, tricycle drivers at the town proper know how to get you there. Bring enough food and water as a store there doesn't have much to sell. You may also bring food to cook.
Manaklay (Compostela Valley)
Just when you thought that Compostela Valley (shortened for Comval and soon to be Davao De Oro province) is literally a valley, then you would be surprised to know that the province has very promising beach destinations.
One of them is the Manaklay Beach, located in Pindasan, Mabini.
Manaklay offers nature enthusiasts the perfect ambiance to enjoy the sun and unspoiled beach.
The beach resort may still in its development stage but that does not affect the place’s beautiful and enticing white sand and water. The beach is also surrounded by lush green surroundings, providing shade and cool breeze that allow guests to embrace the ambience and the scenery.
If bringing children, parent’s supervision is a must because a few meters from the shoreline is already more than six feet deep.
Banana Beach (Davao del Norte)
Going bananas? Tagum City in Davao Del Norte is the place to be. The city has so many banana plantations, making it one of the top banana exporters in the country.
Now, imagine a resort within a banana plantation – that’s Banana Beach Resort there folks.
It has served as a recreational center and top-rated resort in the recent years. Aside from the lush forests Banana Beach boasts of, tourists can spend a whole day here with its wide range of water activities and tours.
Here, you can either ride a jet ski or a banana boat, go kayaking, skim boarding, and paddle boarding.
