FOR a place to remain in the map of travelers and explorers, it has to offer something new to give the tourists more reasons to visit or revisit a certain spot.

Recently, Davao City tourism players had unveiled new and unique things visitors can try on to complete their Davao experience.

If you plan to tour in Davao City soon, here are other things you should try and check apart from Durian and Philippine Eagles.

Skywheel

Location: Eden Nature Park and Resort

This is the newest attraction added by Eden Nature Park and Resort. For adventure seekers, Skywheel is the first in Mindanao that enables guests to walk inside a wheel while it's up 60 feet high. But one should weigh at least 50 kilos to try the 400-meter long return ride which will take approximately 15 minutes.

To those who are afraid to try the ride, fret not as trained attendants and operators will ensure every guest's safety significantly enhanced with a body harness and safety gears especially ordered from France. The resort initially offers three wheels that can travel at a time. It is available at P200 per person and is open daily from 1 to 5 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday to Sunday.

Malagos Chocolate Spa

Location: Malagos Garden and Resort

How do you like the idea of having an award-winning, world-renowned artisan chocolate applied on your body for a massage? This is possible at Malagos Garden and Resort.

The resort has been offering a Malagos Chocolate Wellness Spa to the public at its Legacy House and a lot are talking nice about it.

Available in many options - arms and back, leg and foot, and facial spa, the chocolate spa uses 65% Malagos dark chocolate combined with essential oils. Another good reason to try this is the benefits one can get from chocolates as it helps improve and invigorate skin cells thus, decreasing the skin's aging process and increasing its firmness.

This is best to be tried after touring around the big city of Davao.

Roller Star

Location: Lanang Business Park, Lanang

As Davao’s first indoor skating rink, Roller Star, allows guests to enjoy and get fit at the same time.

With a fully air-conditioned 2,000 square-meter complex, it can comfortably accommodate up to 150 skaters at a time.

At only P250 per person, the fee includes the use of roller skates (the wheels light up when they move!) and safety gears such as helmets, elbow pads, knee pads, and hand protectors for 70 minutes.

Adding more excitement to Roller Star is its non-stop party atmosphere with their resident DJ playing the latest hits and music videos on a gigantic screen. As the skaters go around the rink, multi-colored disco lights heighten the adrenaline rush.

It is open Monday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Davao Wildwater Adventure

Location: Tamugan

This is not entirely new as it has been operating for some years but this rapid and challenging ride always offers something new to thrill seekers.

Trying white water rafting is definitely part of most adventurous souls' bucket list.

Tamugan River is the starting point of this four-hour wet adventure. From Tamugan River, guests will be traversing the long and winding Davao Upper River passing through 24 challenging rapids and end in Barangay Lacson in Calinan District.

Of course, safety is of paramount concern and every guest are checked and briefed before the one-of-a-kind ride.

These are just few of the new and exciting things you should try when in Davao City, but there are still a lot to check out to fully enjoy the whole of Davao City, and a single visit won't be enough.
