Thousands of pupils benefit from LGU feeding program

SOME 2,392 school children from four public elementary schools in Mabalacat City benefited from a supplemental feeding program sponsored by the local government unit.

The city government’s feeding project dubbed “Complementary Feeding Program” was conducted in the primary schools of Santa Maria, Paralayunan, Dapdap and Madapdap Resettlement Center.

Mayor Cris Garbo led the distribution of meals to the students. He was assisted by the department heads of the city government.

Students and teachers in the beneficiary schools thanked the mayor and other local officials for implementing the program.

Garbo said he included the project among his top priorities to eradicate malnutrition among school kids.

The mayor also instructed the school officials to prepare a list of projects related to the improvement of their respective schools.

Garbo vowed to source out funds for the implementation of the school projects.
