Utzurrum: Forevermore, Peachy and Mel!

The Scene

IT WAS the holiday season when Aissa Stephanie (Peachy) Dela Cruz and Amelito Alburo Derecho (Mel) decided to elevate their friendship to a more permanent and romantic level. So one sunny afternoon at the Redemptorist Parish in Cebu, Peachy and Mel vowed to “love, honor and obey, till death do us part.”

Youthful and attractive Peachy, in a gown she designed herself, brought the rhythm of spring to the formal rites. Mel, debonair in a barong, had eyes only for her!

Before going any further, let me introduce the parents of the couple. Mother of the bride is Teresita Arambulo dela Cruz and father is doctor Eduardo Cendana dela Cruz. The groom’s parents are Beatriz Alburo Derecho and lawyer Artemio Tan Derecho.

We have yet to witness a more glamorous and dashing set of principal sponsors: Doctor Rodolfo Abalos Sr. and Corito Vitug Abalos; Jason Oliver A. dela Cruz and Jennifer Patricia Villegas-dela Cruz; Maximiano Arambulo and Judy dela Cruz-Castillo; Raoul Rafael Panes and Christina Crisel Lagniton; Carlo Cordaro and Trixie Suarez; Sean Yu and Purita Sofia Esquivel; Arsenio Alburo Derecho and Hortensia Villa; Paul Durano and Geraldine Larrazabal-Pagaduan; and Maria Lorenza Arambulo Lopez.

Movie-starrish Maid of Honor was Sophie Gabrielle dela Cruz-Maitland Smith; with Matron of Honor Patricia Ann dela Cruz-Virvescu and Best Gentleman Benedict Climaco.

The scintillating and stylish entourage then proceeded to partake of cocktails at the magnificent gardens of Casa Uno in Lahug, followed by a gastronomic feast at the main dining hall of the Casa.

This chapter of your love story ends in love, laughter, crazy times of friendship, all leading to Forevermore!
