Pangan: Reaching out

AS IS normal at SM Supermalls, in the exercise of corporate social responsibility (CSR) led by SM Foundation and SM Cares, the Shopping Center Management Center (SCMC) with address at 2/F Mall Admin, SM City Clark, reached out to the Head of the Office for Senior Citizens Affairs or OSCA, Mabalacat City.

In her letter to the OSCA Head, Engracia D. Dizon dated June 11, 2019, Ms. Andrea L. Madlangbayan, Mall Manager, SM City Clark, invited the Mabalacat City senior citizens and persons with disability to a forum "to open the minds of our elderly individuals to emergency".

The said forum could not be more relevant and timely to the seniors and PWDs of Mabalacat City.

Assisting mall manager Andrea in this activity are Ms. Paulene G. Aquino, Operations assistant in-charge of Senior Affairs and Engr. Jan Roi Louie Coldas, Building Administration officer in-charge of PWD affairs.

This laudable activity will further endear SM Supermalls to the officers and employees of the Mabalacat City government, the senior citizens and PWDs of Mabalacat City. Of course, this is with the guidance of VP Engr. Junias Eusebio and SVP for Operations Engr. Bien C. Mateo. Congrats, guys!

Balibago barangay chairman Tony Mamac has done a good job leading his constituents in conducting a cleanup drive at Sitio Looc, Barangay Banawang, Bagac, Bataan province.

Chairman Tony conducted this activity in lieu of the traditional celebration of Independence Day, for three days starting June 13 thru the 15th. It is, by the way, part of his barangay's observance of Independence Day and yearly team building.

Says Chairman Tony: Instead of the traditional celebration of the Independence Day, we decided to conduct a bay clean-up in said village to contribute to the global effort of environmental protection in our own little way.

The Manila Bay cleanup is sanctioned by the Supreme Court which mandates LGUs to contribute to the cleanup efforts.
