DRIVEN by her passion and her strong belief that she will someday reach her dreams, a young businesswoman in Davao City is slowly making her dreams a reality through her very own salon and spa.
Anna Michelle Uyanguren, 31, despite being new to the industry, said she is fully ready for all the challenges she may face in the business.
Uyanguren manages Medichelle Skin Center in Cabantian, Davao City, a one-stop shop for people who want to avail different beauty and skincare services like facial and glutathione drip, waxing, threading, eyelash lift and extension, massage, nail care, and hair salon. Despite her busy work, she still has plans to expand her business this year in other areas in the city for the convenience of her growing clients.
“I experienced paying much just for beauty and skin care services. I know how it feels to doubt yourself whether or not you can afford these beauty services because they are really expensive. This business is my way to help women who would want to relax and feel good about themselves with services that are more affordable than others while maintaining its quality,” she said.
Back when she was younger, she experienced the difficulties in life. In her college, she would help her parents by working to pay for her own school projects, sometimes even her own tuition fees, through sideline businesses, and by working as a student assistant. Everything that she experienced in life has contributed to who she is today. Her business instincts were also honed through time.
She does not stop aiming higher for her dreams as her beauty soap brand is set to be launched on July this year.
“Beauty soap business is somewhat related to my salon. My clients have been asking if I could recommend or suggest any product they could use for maintenance or enhancement. So I was thinking that I might as well recommend to them what I truly trust, which is my own brand,” she said.
