FABulous People

SAISHU is Northern Luzon’s Biggest Cosplay Event! Saishu means “ultimate” or “gathering”. With more than 3000 recorded attendees and 35 exhibitors, sponsors and collaborators, it has been dubbed as the biggest cosplay event in Northern Luzon, merging the worlds of fashion, culture and cosplay.

Through the collaborative efforts of Maila Alog (Designer), Jocelyn Buaquen (Concept Artist), and Janice Magbanua (Head Stylist), the Maila Alog Runway II featured Cordilita: Lolita Collections in Cordilleran Abel and the Disney Princesses Reimagined using Cordilleran textiles.

The panel of judges was headed by Isabelita Carla Vargas (professional and international cosplay/crafter) with other cosplayers/crafters Elaiza Ubungen, Irene Guerrero, Chairein Kris Cordoviz and Lyka Camdas. Runway Directors Julius Pulwen, Jinky Dumapis and yours truly of FAB INC. and Osharé handed surprise awards to participants.

Special thanks to hosts Totoy Bugoy and Hector Mazon; performers CMKC (a J-Fashion enthusiast, YouTuber and the 2018 Best of Anime’s Sing-Off Champion), Ilocano Rapper and composer RBK; collaborators Cosplay Academia (Robin Balisi) and Intemeratha Modeling Agency (Raquel Binegas); support from the United Korean Asso. in the Phil. and KFlavors (Joseph Kim); Japanese Asso. of Northern Luzon (Pres.
