Family time at Sunday’s

AROUND a month ago, Divine, a friend in the media industry based in Cebu City, visited Davao City to attend a conference.

We were looking for a place to have a nice dinner with good conversations. Since she was staying in one of the hotels in the Lanang area, we opted to go have dinner at Sunday’s Modern Home Cooking at Go Hotels.

The restaurant serves meals that can be shared and enjoyed among friends or family members.

For our dinner here we had the Pomelo Salad, Lumpia Shanghai, Calamares, Humba, Tuna Belly BBQ with Muscovado Glaze, Pochero Steak, and Beef Salpicao.

I have been a couple of times here and the food has always been good. What stood out to me really was their Humba, Tuna Belly, and the Pomelo Salad.

A personal favorite of mine was the Humba. The pork was really tender. The dish had a wonderful balance of sweet and spicy.

I liked the Tuna Belly BBQ with Muscovado. I just love that sweet surprise from the muscovado.

I also liked the Pomelo Salad. It was a refreshing addition to our very meaty dinner.

Aside from the three, I enjoyed the lumpia.

For our soup, we were supposed to order their Malunggay Soup, also a personal favorite. However, during our visit here, it was not available. But I would recommend you also order this when you visit the restaurant.

Sunday’s Modern Home Cooking is located at the ground floor of Go Hotel Davao, Phoenix Mega Station, Lanang.
