PDEA seizes P1-M illegal drugs

OPERATIVES of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Luzon (PDEA-3) seized some P1-million worth of illegal drugs during a drug bust in front of a four-star hotel in Barangay Malabanias, Angeles City over the weekend.

PDEA-3 Regional Director Gil Pabilona said the illegal drugs were confiscated from eight suspected drug personalities who are considered among the major suppliers of party drugs and Valium (classified as a downer) in Angeles City.

The suspects were identified as Bernice B. Fabiosa, 21; Ma. Isabel J. Lawas, 19; Aileen J. Baldon, 23; Jamie A. Mendoza, 20; Jessa Scott, 19; Bernadeth S. Saavedra, 19; Sean P. Moreno, 42; and Gregorio M. Imperial, 26. All are residents of Angeles City.

“One of our operatives who acted as poseur buyer secured a drug deal with Fabiosa and her partners for the sale of Dimethyl tripticase (a party drug classified as hallucinogens) for the amount of P200,000 and agreed to meet in front of a hotel until they were collared by PDEA agents,” Pabilona said.

Pabilona also disclosed that the arrest of the suspects was a result of four-month long casing and surveillance following a report from a confidential informant that distribution of party drugs and various types of dangerous drugs are rampant in the area.

Illegal drugs confiscated were 310 tablets of party drugs (ecstasy); five Dimethyl Tripticase (DMT); one screw cup plastic bottle containing 100 pieces of Valium; three self-sealing plastic containing suspected kush (hybrid marijuana); one self-sealing plastic containing more or less 0.75 gram of cocaine, and one weighing scale.

The suspects are now detained at PDEA Jail Facility, Diosdado Macapagal Government Center, Barangay Maimpis, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

Charges of violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Acts of 2002 are being readied for filing in court against the suspects.
