Taking his oath of office before Bago Regional Trial Court Executive Judge Frances Guanzon, Yulo said the present officials, parents, educators, farmers, laborers and every Bagonhon share in making Bago a place of peace and harmony, happiness and stability.

"A place where one can grow and dream because all the means for making these dreams to come true are present here," he said, adding that "we will make Bago a city of all our dreams."

Other officials who took their oath are Vice Mayor Ramon Torres and other re-elected members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod namely Councilors Andrew Martin Torres, Jorge Agustine Araneta, Danilo Famoso, Cleo Gaudite and Mark Joszef Dexter Somcio.

They were joined by newly-elected councilors Mayette Javellana- Yao, Ma. Femmy Martir, Michael Victor Javellana, Joseph Colmenares and Ruben Balboa.

The mayor, in his inaugural speech, said the people of Bago have given him a precious gift which is to serve for another three years.

For Yulo, running unopposed in this year's elections is a validation of the kind of service and leadership they have during the previous term.

"This gift was given me with explicit trust and confirmation of the last three years that I served as city mayor," Yulo said.

He added that "we must have been doing right to have been given this new mandate without challengers for the positions and our way of leading the city."

The mayor also highlighted the City's plans and programs for the next three years.

For health, this is upgrading the facilities and medical staff of Bago City Hospital. He is also pushing for the establishment of a dialysis center.

Being awarded by the Department of Agriculture (DA) as the top rice producer of Western Visayas, the rice granary of Negros Occidental will continue the measures to honor and help local farmers through mechanization and other farm technologies.

Other priorities of the administration is to continue the development programs in areas of education, infrastructure, tourism, environment, tax collection, peace and order, disaster risk reduction management, trade and industry, senior citizens, persons with disabilities, women, children and all other vulnerable sectors.

Yulo said with Bagonhons' individual support - share, work and contribution -- he feels that they can accomplish greater things for the progress and development of the city.

"No matter how very good or well-intentioned people at the helm of governance are, nothing worthwhile can really happen until their own people openly commit support and advocacy for the plans and programs of the government," he stressed.
