I REMEMBER praying to God to give me a new best friend — someone to whom I can tell my dreams, vision, and share the best and worst moments of my life. In the same year, I got pregnant to a baby girl, God’s answer to my prayer. I call her Yanna.
My daughter got her Daddy’s looks who is also as lovable as her Dad. I like how she calls me “Mama” in a soft and sweet voice. She hugs and kisses me, then says “Lyolyo” (she means Love you!)
I found my lifetime buddy. I found my soul sister.
When she was born, I thought of buying matchy clothes — mother and daughter — because it’s my way of telling the world that she is my daughter and I am proud of her no matter what.
I bought these affordable and ready-to-wear twinning outfits online. The designs speak of my character as a person and personal definition of life — simple and cheerful.
It is fun to dress up like my daughter because it lightens up people’s mood. I like the feeling of making people happy even with small things in life. I like to inspire other moms and moms-to-be to also wear terno clothes with their daughter or son because it is fun and it relieves us from stress.
I am making the most of Yanna’s toddlerhood because I would never know the time when she would no longer want to dress up like me.
Another advantage of having twinning outfits is that it is easier to choose which clothes to wear whenever we go out.
I have 10 designs of twinning clothes. Most of them are floral, plain, and stripes.
We wear floral prints at the beach. I also feel like wearing them when I just want to set the mood to something pretty, fun, and nice.
Plain outfits are best worn at semi-formal events. I keep it minimalist to look professional and classy. Stripes are the most versatile style. We wear it anytime and anywhere. It’s not demanding and complicated, and it simply doesn’t go out of trend.
Some things are simply better in twos. It even becomes the best with people we love most — our own children.
