MISAMIS Oriental Governor Yevgeny Vincente Emano said gunning for the mayoral post in Cagayan de Oro is "part of the option" for the 2022 elections.
Emano said mayorship is part of the option of the Padayon Pilipino party.
"Mayorship is part of the option, I have to be honest. Tipik na sa among pagahukman uban sa among partido sa Padayon Pilipino. Uban kang mayor Pompee, ug uban kapitanes ubos sa Padayon Pilipino nga nia sa dakbayan sa Cagayan de Oro," he said.
Emano said there are still some barangay chieftains in the city who are loyal to the party, adding the decision will still be discussed thoroughly a year or two from today.
"Serbisyohan sa namo ang katawhan, mamahulay sa pud ta, naa pa kitay usa ka term, daghan pa tay angayan nga buhaton sa probinsya," he added.
Emano said one of his priorities is the transfer of the Misamis Oriental Provincial Jail to a property in one of the towns of the province.
