MA. THERESA “Tess” Laus is a leader in her own right. While she is best known as the spouse of the late Liberato P. Laus (LPL), Tess has coped up with the responsibility that fell on her lap by the sudden demise of LPL. She is the overall CEO of all Laus Group of Companies nearing almost hundreds in numbers.
While before, she attends only to Max’s franchise, now she has to attend to an empire that includes the LausGroup Event Centre, Dencio’s, Microtel, Carworld, Ford, Kia, Carmix, Chevy, CLTV, even this paper – SunStar and many more. It is fortunate that the Laus couple is blessed with diligent and level-headed children that are about ready to fill the void. While LPL is irreplaceable, Mareng Tess can lessen the impact of the loss with her calm, strong presence.
By coincidence, Tess Chua lost her beloved spouse, Eddie, some time ago. Eddie Chua is an institution among the Fernandinos. He is a Chinese by blood but he is more Filipino by inclination. He also left an empire – Kingspire, Kingsborough, Kings Hardware, Ichiban and a number of buildings strategically located in this city. Tess seems to enjoy attending to customers at Ichiban (eat all you can) with her gracious smiles.
Tess Chua is at peace with herself as she looks at the future with a positive mind and a clean heart.
