THINGS must be packed inside the hospital bag as early as 35 weeks (including those who have high-risk pregnancy).

This will allow pregnant moms to carefully plan and avoid the rush. Trust me, preparing the hospital bag also gives us butterflies in the stomach!

But before packing, it is recommended to ask the hospital what they provide for moms. This will give you an idea on what things to take off your hospital bag checklist.

One of the Dawow Moms admins, Mommy Axel, shares her essentials inside the diaper bag (before she gave birth on June 20!)

What she packed for baby:

a. long sleeves

b. pajama

c. mittens

d. socks

e. “bigkis”

f. “lampin”

g. cotton or wet wipes

h. diapers

i. liquid soap

For the clothes, she suggests bringing at least three to four of each kind.

Meanwhile, these are the things she packed for herself:

a. comfy dresses

b. necessary documents (birth and marriage (for married couple) certificates, previous hospital records of other kids, government records (like PhilHealth’s MDR), copies of ultrasound, and laboratory results, Mother’s book, and valid IDs)

c. personal hygiene kit (bath essentials, deodorant, cotton buds, facial masks, toothpaste, and toothbrush)

She also has a separate pouch which consists of makeup and beauty products, cellphone charger, headset, and essential oils.

What I like about Mommy Axel’s hospital bag is that she writes labels on her pouches or small bags. She said this will help her companions to easily look for the things she might need.

Tip: You don’t need to bring the entire closet. Just bring the necessary ones. Give specific instructions to your companion. Have a safe delivery!
