THE date, June 1, 2019, will never be easy to forget for the many invited guests of John and Lea Walker as they have witnessed a double affair at the Grand Men Seng Hotel.
The couple celebrated each of their milestones together with John commemorating his “29th” birthday, his forever age so he claims, and Lea celebrating her 20th year in the real estate industry.
During the party, the couple made sure that everyone on their guest list would go home smiling. And they did not fail.
Aside from the lavish food they made sure prepared, the couple also conducted games for their employees and raffles for their guests.
Money flowed literally during the event as P500 became easy to own as the games for the employees of Allea Real Estate were not that hard. All they need to do was to know their job well and know their employer’s family as well.
The guests were also in for a surprise as the Walkers raffled off several 500-peso and 1,000-peso bills. The emcee, Jeffrey Tan, vice president of UMBN, picked a number from a bowl, and that number had a corresponding name on the guest’s list. Those names that appeared on the corresponding numbers on the guest’s list received an instant “payout” of either 500 pesos or 1,000 pesos.
The grand prizes were three good-for-two overnight stay gift certificates to Eden Nature Park’s luxurious rooms inclusive of breakfast. One of those who won the GC, also the couple’s employee, had second thoughts of accepting it because he’s from Samal and he knew that his wife won’t allow them to travel when it’s almost night time. What John did was more than admirable as he suggested that he would drive the man and his wife to Eden in Toril back and forth. With this, the man readily accepted the prize and gave thanks to the compassionate couple.
In return for their generosity, their employees surprised them with entertainment extravaganza which the couple very much appreciated as shown on their happy faces. The climax of the entertainment was when all of their employees danced to the tune of "Footloose" and "Rico Mambo", that made not just the couple but all the guests delighted. This nailed the perception that the power couple is kind, to say the least.
Among the VIP guests were Consul General Yoshiaki Miwa, Mitaji Corp CEO Mita D. Gotauco, Robern Dev Corp VP Ruby S. Bernardo, Suntrust Properties Inc VP and Davao Board of Realtors Foundation Inc. (DBRFI) Past President Engr. Leonora Gutierrez, and Jovencio Cainong, also DBRFI past president.
Allea Real Estate’s lawyer Atty. Wilbert Donasco and wife Fiscal Erna Donasco were also in attendance, together with Lea’s loyal clients, foreigners and locals alike.
