PNPA cadet application now online

THE Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) has set up an online platform that allows aspiring cadets to file their applications online effective July 1, 2019.

Online applications may be filed until the last week of September. The examination will be on November 10, 2019.

In a press briefing Wednesday, July 3, 2019, Cadet First Class Nerisa Jean Vargas Allawa said the academy offers full scholarship program with monthly allowance of P38,000 and free tuition fee to the passers.

For qualification, aspiring cadets must be a natural born Filipino, single with no parental obligations, 5’2 in height for female and 5’4 for male.

For the Indigenous Peoples (IP) members who do not meet the height requirement, they need to secure a certificate of tribe membership for their application.

Senior High School (SHS) graduates are allowed to take the exam.

Graduates with highest honors in senior high school and summa cum laude, magna cum laude and cum laude are exempted from the exam.

Allawan, a licensed teacher, said the academy is honing the individuals to become future leaders and competent public safety officers equipped with good character and discipline.

“The academy has prepared us enough to face the challenges in real life,” Cadet Allawan added.

The academy produces officers of the PNP, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).

Aside from Davao City, they will also visit other provinces in Davao Region like Davao Oriental, Davao Occidental, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur and Compostela Valley province to scout for more applicants.
