‘Bacolod bulk water fails to deliver’

LAWYER Juliana Carbon, general manager of Bacolod City Water District (Baciwa), said Friday, July 5, that Bacolod Bulk Water, Inc. (BBWI) still fails to deliver its commitment from its Injection Point No. 1 and 2.

Carbon said that Injection Point No. 2 has not delivered any drop of water to Baciwa while it only delivers an average of 9.5 million liters per day from its Injection Point No. 1.

BBWI committed to deliver 15 million liters of water per day from its Injection Point No. 1 and another 15 million liters per day from Injection Point No. 2.

“It’s sad that our present supplier failed to deliver water from its commitment,” Carbon said.

However, Carbon said Baciwa already started to receive water supply from Murcia Water District since July 3 and that water supplies are now improving in the areas of Paglaum Village, Mansilingan and nearby areas.

Baciwa has forged a two year contract for water supply with Murcia Water District.

“We hope to get more water supply from Murcia,” she added.

She also revealed that Baciwa is paying Murcia Water District at P12 per cubic meter.

Carbon said that Baciwa still needs more waters supplies despite their contract with Murcia Water District.
