Music production for beginners workshop in Room 11 studio

IN cooperation with 22 Tango Records, Room Eleven Recording Studio is again holding a two-day Music Production for Beginners Workshop dubbed Sonic Youth on Aug. 3 and 4, 2019.

Th weekend workshop was created specifically for beginners–-young and old musicians who would like to explore digital audio recording and music creation using the latest technology.

The workshop will be facilitated by freelance arranger and sound engineer Anjelo Calinawan. The session includes learning the ropes of multi-track recording and mixing in the digital era. Calinawan’s expertise in record production and sound engineering has immersed him in major projects like Vispop, Siddhartha The Musical, Gugmang Giatay the Musical, and Kadasig. He’s also a musical arranger as well as a freelance and project-based sound engineer for 1032 Recording Studio.

On the workshop’s first day, Calinawan will explore the common elements in musical composition and break down the tools needed for sound engineering. Day two will focus on a practical hands-on group activity and an in-studio demonstration with the assistance of the Room Eleven production crew.

The workshop will be held at the Room Eleven Recording Studio at The Annex, Mango Square Mall, Gen. Maxilom Avenue. Slots are limited at P2,000 each for the early bird rate. The regular rate is P2,500.
