THREE persons were nabbed while one eluded arrest during a drug bust operation in Barangay Dapitan, Cordova, Cebu, Saturday evening, July 6, 2019.
Members of the Cordova police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Central Visayas identified the three arrested suspects as Sheila Taneo, 30, Sharon Ybañez, 33 and Claire Maravellas, 27.
The other suspect, Reniel Taneo, 34, remains at large.
“Upon the consummation of the transaction, all of them were placed under arrest but the other suspect (Reniel) hurriedly and forcibly resisted arrest and fled towards the secluded portion of the area,” said Police Captain Efren Diaz, Jr., acting chief of Cordova Police Station.
The four suspects, he added, are in their drug watchlist.
Authorities recovered five medium and 31 small sachets of suspected shabu which weighs around 25.96 grams with a dangerous drugs board value of P176,528.00.
They will face charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Superbalita Cebu)
