Prexy plans to go back as sports manager

AFTER losing in the vice-gubernatorial race in the recent elections, former provincial board member President Elipe over the weekend said he is interested to apply again as general manager of the Misamis Oriental Integrated Sports Complex (MOISC).

Elipe said the position was not filled up after he resigned October, last year, to sit as regular member of the capitol's legislative body in replacement of the late board member Mario Emano.

President Rodrigo Duterte appointed Elipe as regular member of the provincial board.

"Interested ko mag-apply balik kay so far OIC man to ang gi-appoint sa MOISC after ko nag resign last year ug daghan ta plano for MOISC," Elipe said.

Elipe said he would submit his application during the meeting of the Misamis Oriental Integrated Sports Council within this month.

"Kung dawaton ta sa board I would gladly serve and continue the programs I started," Elipe said.

The former legislator of the province has bared his plans for the sports development program of the province.

Elipe said he would continue the upgrading of facilities and system of MOISC.

"Daghan ta plano for upgrading sa facilities, ang system sa pagsulod ug paggawas, sa records and others," Elipe said.

Among his plans is to put up a cover for the basketball, volleyball and sepak takraw courts to make it available 24 hours rain or shine.

Elipe said he already talked with Misamis Oriental 1st District Representative Christian Unabia for the said purpose.

He also said he would ask some congressmen and senators he met in the previous elections to support his plan to rubberize the oval track.

"Naa man ta mga higala nga congressmen ug senators nga nidaog sa elections atong paningkamotan makaduol kita kay the income itself sa MOISC dili kaya ma-rubberize ang oval track," Elipe said.

Elipe also said he is set to put in place the plans for the Kuyamis Sports which targets to reach the grassroots and remote communities in the province.

He said the Kuyamis Sports program was able to transform lives of the youth through sports activities in the different municipalities.

"We want to cover more sports program and we will go grassroots para sa development sa atong mga youth through sports," Elipe said.
