A SUSPECTED big time drug personality was arrested and about P3.4 million worth of suspected shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride were seized by authorities on Saturday, July 6, in North Cotabato.
Lieutenant General Cirilito Sobejana, Western Mindanao Command (Wesmincom) chief, said big-time drug personality Nards Udto Adtis was arrested by joint military, police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) team in a buy bust operation around 6:15 p.m. at Purok Masagana, Barangay South Manuagan, Pigcawayan, North Cotabato.
Sobejana said seized from Adtis were some P3.4 million worth of suspected shabu and P750,000 boodle money.
He said Adtis and the items seized were placed under the custody of the PDEA in Region 12.
“Rest assured of our continuous cooperation with law enforcement agencies to end illegal drug operations in western and central areas (of Mindanao),” he said.
“The military is committed in supporting all legal mechanisms to end the prevalence of illegal drugs in the country,” he added. (SunStar Philippines)
