MURCIA Mayor Gerry Rojas vowed to deliver responsible and excellent service to the people of his town.

He took his oath of office along the other officials of the town recently.

Rojas has served the people of Murcia for 15 years in various positions. Those experiences in governance molded his perspective as a public servant.

This has opened his eyes to the needs of his people particularly in far-flung barangays.

"As your Mayor, I will put together all my resources to deliver the necessary services to address those needs," he said.

The Rojas family has been a benefactor of the town for decades. The family of his paternal grandmother Clarita Delgado Rojas donated the land where the Immaculate Concepcion Parish, the Municipal building and a portion of the plaza now stand.

They also continued the legacy of his family where they established businesses that provided job opportunities to Murciahanons as their own way of supporting the progress and development of the town and its people.

He commits to enhance the delivery of the health services; expand the scholarship program, promote tourism and investments; maintain peace and order; prioritize the provision of water supply in the communities; food security and livelihood projects, and more responsive infrastructure development," he said.

But he asked the people to continue supporting him and include him in their prayers.

"I enjoined everyone to join me in my journey towards the realization of our noble dreams to make Murcia a more dynamic and progressive town," he said.
