THE National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) will have its 12-hour power interruption in northern areas of Negros Occidental on Saturday, July 13.

The power interruption will start from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the consumers of Northern Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Noneco) in the whole coverage areas of San Carlos City, Escalante City, Toboso, Manapla, Calatrava, Cadiz City, and Sagay City.

Engineer Jeffrey Poblador, TSD Manager, in a press statement said that the NGCP’s power shutdown in said areas is intended for preventive maintenance of power transformer 1 and 2, and replacement of 138 kV transmission line insulators.

Noneco will also have its ride-on activity such as the installation of D Structure of 69 kV connection of NNBP, correction of hotspot in Noneco’s substation, line clearing, and replacement of rotten or dilapidated structures.

Consumers were also advised that in the event of any power interruption, electrical switches should be turned off for safety reasons.
