Guv to Capitol workers: Respect my decision

GOVERNOR Eugenio Jose Lacson asks the Provincial Government employees to respect his decision of putting back lawyer Annabelle Palic as head of the Provincial Human Resource Office.

Lacson made the comment after it was reported that there is a signature campaign among Capitol employees against Palic.

“During my first flag ceremony as governor I told the Provincial Government employees to give me the benefit of the doubt. To trust on the people that I choose. So I hope that they will respect that because at the end of the day if I choose the wrong people it would reflect my position. But if the people I choose do well then I credit that to that person. So I hope government people will respect my decision," Lacson said.

He said that he has not heard yet about such signature campaign against Palic.

He also clarified that in case it's confirmed that there is a signature campaign, he will go over their concerns.

"That's something, if indeed there is a petition. I will look over their concerns and that's the time that I will discuss with that person if there's merit or not," Lacson said.

Palic was assigned back to the Office of the Governor by former Governor Alfredo Maranon, Jr. after the Department of Budget and Management came out with the opinion disallowing the creation of the HMO.

Provincial Administrator lawyer Rayfrando Diaz said that there was no formal order to abolish the HMO and that the position should come from the Civil Service Commission.
