Local artist launches 'typographic' exhibit

CLARK FREEPORT -- A young local graphic artist was launched at SM Clark recently, as the mall featured his works, which include collaborations with known brands in apparel, retail, and print industry.

The works of Gian Wong Wong, 22, from San Fernando, Pampanga, will be displayed in an exhibit dubbed as “Vibrant Typographic Designs and Artworks” at the ground level of SM Clark from July 7 to July 31, 2019.

Wong has been tapped by various brands and products such as Uniqlo, Levi’s, Zig Philippines and Hallmark Philippines, Southern Living Magazine, and Canva, among others. He has also conducted art exhibits in various schools and universities.

Wong specializes in graphic illustrations, lettering or typography with bold colors and playful geometry. Among the awards he received are National Digital Arts Awards 2015 (3rd Place Print Category) and Adobe Design Achievement Awards 2016 (Semi-finalist).
