A MAN was killed by his younger brother in a shooting incident in Barangay Bantayan, Kabankalan City on July 8.
The victim was identified as George Dubria, 33, while the suspect was identified as Raymundo Dubrea, 26.
Initial investigation revealed that the victim was hit in the jaw after his brother shot him with an improvised shotgun.
The suspect surrendered to barangay captain Manuel Antoniego.
The victim, on the other hand, was brought to Lorenzo D. Zayco District Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician.
Police said grudge was the motive in the killing.
Meanwhile, a 17-year-old student of Alternative Learning System was arrested for illegal drugs on July 7 in front of the old Department of Education Division Office on Gurrea Street, Barangay 1, La Carlota City.
The minor is a resident of Barangay 1, La Carlota City.
Elements of Station Drug Enforcement Team of La Carlota City police, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Western Visayas, arrested the suspect.
Seized from the minor were sachets of substance believed to be shabu, P300 cash, and Suzuki Raider black motorcycle.
