Foreign manufacturer looking for distributors

A FURNITURE manufacturer from Thailand is looking for product distributors in Davao City as part of their expansion.

Parazzo Group (Thailand) Co. Ltd. import and export manager Thanida Talawong said their company chose Davao City, as they were informed by their country's trade council about its booming economy and growing market potential.

"Here in the city, a lot have already inquired about our products. Many are interested to become our distributor," Talawong told SunStar Davao in an interview Tuesday, July 9, during the first Thailand-Philippines Business Networking at the Marco Polo Hotel.

Among their products are door, door frame, sink door, kitchen jigsaw series and compact set, and bathroom cabinet.

Talawong said their company recently invested in a new production line to start producing wood-plastic composite (WPC) furniture apart from their existing plasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (uPVC) production line.

She said they noticed that door and door frame supplies in the city are mostly of low quality which poses risks for accidents for those who patronize these especially during disasters.

"Our product has higher quality than others, though it is pricier but we can really assure that they are safe," Talawong said.

"Our special product attributes are 100 percent water-resistant, 100 percent termite-resistant, fire-retardant, have no toxic emission, and they could even be open for many kinds of finishing such as lamination and spray painting," she said.

The minimum order required for a distributor is 300 sets of door and frames costing around US$110.

During the business matching, aside from Parazzo Group, there were also other companies from Thailand that are looking for distributors, mostly in construction, architecture, automotive, and agriculture industries.
