HUE-NIQUE was my first social media post about Hue Hotel in Boracay. The establishment sets itself apart from its peers in the island. What dictated it to be such? Location? Taste? Perhaps both.
Hue Hotel is located along the main road between Stations 2 and 3, a short walk from the white sand beach. It may not have the sand and sea but the hotel created its own oasis where everyone is welcome.
The approach to design of the boutique hotel's architecture and interior design makes it a standout in its address, if not the entire island.
In a popular destination like Boracay, space is a premium. When it comes to business, every inch should equate to income. Hue Hotel could have created a more space-efficient hotel and created more rooms. No, it went against convention and molded a paisley-shaped structure.
The curved exterior wrapped in vertical and crisscrossing slats was successful in calling the attention of every passerby.
The interior is even more interesting. Following the contour of the paisley form are 128 suites. The most interesting are in the interior, with picture windows open up to the view of the large pool below and the blue sky above it. To gain access, keys come in the form of bright orange baller bands with electronic chips.
Thanks to the open design plan, natural light brightens up the ground floor while the sea breeze cools the interior. Daybeds and lounging chairs occupy the perimeter of the pool. Inside this hotel, getting sun kissed is not impossible.
Making Hue Hotel more exciting is Station X. This feature will provide guests what they need for a memorable stay in the island without leaving the hotel.
