Aussie, 6 others nabbed in anti-drug ops

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - An Australian national along with six other drug personalities were arrested in a drug bust conducted by joint operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Central Luzon and Philippine Air Force (PAF) at South Daang Bakal in Mabalacat City on Thursday night.

PDEA-Central Luzon Regional Director Gil Pabilona identified the suspects as George Georgeff, 38, an Australian; Roque Rosielda, 50; Arnold Padilla, 25; Emmanuel Gaddi, 39; Roland Geraldo, 29; Norman Rivera, 18; and Raddy Tabuso, 46, all residents of Mabalacat City.

Director Pabilona said Georgeff was arrested inside a den allegedly maintained by Rosielda while scoring from the latter’s cohorts. The said drug den was also dismantled during the said operations.

“Rosielda and his cohorts are known to be notorious in drug peddling in the said community. As to the Australian national, he will be charged for violation of section 7 (visitor of den, dive, resort) of RA 9165, and possible section 15 (use of dangerous drugs) while awaiting for his drug test results,” Pabilona disclosed.

The arrest of the suspects yielded 11 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing 20 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P136,000, various drug paraphernalia and the drug bust money.

The suspects are now detained at PDEA Jail Facility, Diosdado Macapagal Government Center, Barangay Maimpis, City of San Fernando. Violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Acts of 2002 are being readied for filing in court against them.
