WITH the upcoming Cordillera Day, people who continue to inspire, cross my mind. The youth in the Baguio fashion community have certainly stood out. Coming from different interests, they are determined to reach their goals. Some of them, though not true-blooded Cordillerans, have come to live their dreams and have spent most of their life here in the region.

Julienne Paran, fashion designer, stylist, mentor and boutique owner. Creator of fun and upbeat Highland pieces. Cordial and innovative. Celebrate the Fashion Lab’s culminating activity this July 28 at the University of the Cordilleras Theater.

Roque “Andrew” Belino, “ang batang minero”, a brave, charming Cordilleran singing sensation, who made it to the top 20 in Idol Philippines. Belino won the support of numerous fans here and abroad.

Pina Espada, fashion designer, her love for her Cordilleran roots have made her a main stay in her craft. Visit her shop at the second floor of Hangar Market stall 77.

Jessie Jeng Navarro, Rogue Magazine in its 2nd issue continues its aim to promote fashion artistry in Baguio City. Featuring new talents and local personalities in collaboration with internationally acclaimed photographer and designer Eros Goze. Join us on July 28 at the University of the Cordillera’s Theater in celebration of the magazines’s 2nd edition.

Creativo Mente Event Management launching, talent and variety show held last July 6 at Gestdan Centrum. Congratulations to the organizers and participants!

Cordilleran models from De Stijl Image Reinvented take pride in walking the runway. De Stijl Image Reinvented provides a platform to promote the people, culture, and artistry of the Cordillera.
