THE AdCentral Consulting firm has set a fun run and cycling event to raise funds for the rehabilitation of the Holy Rosary Parish Church which was severely affected by a strong earthquake few months ago.
AdCentral Consulting owner Edna Eufemio said the event dubbed Paldak at Pulayi Para HRP will be held on October 26, 2019 at 6:00 a.m. in HRP Grounds, Sto. Rosario Street, Angeles City.
"Appealing for your support for the restoration of our very own Pisamban Maragul (Holy Rosary Parish Church), which was severely affected by the recent earthquake and was ordered closed," Eufemio said.
She added that the church is considered a heritage structure.
"We enjoin everyone to join hands and help rebuild the church which has become the seat of the sacraments in our lives - baptisms, weddings, confirmations, ordinations, among others," she said.
As one of the numerous fund-raising events of the Parish Pastoral Council, Paldak at Pulayi Para HRP is a fun ride and fun run event, with a pre-Christmas Bazaar.
"Anyone can register or buy tickets, even if you are not a runner or a biker," she said.
"Donations will be at a minimum of P500, and you will get a ticket with a race kit and raffle stub. Please stay tuned for further announcements about our ticket or registration centers," Eufemio added.
During his inaugural message as the new parish priest of Holy Rosary, Reverend Fr. Nolasco "Noli" Fernandez appealed to the parishioners and residents of Angeles City to help rebuild the church.
"Alam po natin na mayroong malaking pinsala na idinulot ng malakas na lindol. At ngayon po ay hindi natin magamit ang ating simbahan. Kaya't nagpulong na po kami sa pamamagitan ng mga engineers, structural engineers and architects, sa ating parokya. Sinuri po ito at malaki po ang pinsala nito. Kaya't inilockdown po ito at sabi nila sa loob ng isang taon ay isasara po ito. Pero tayo po ay nananalangin sa Diyos na hindi isang taon kundi mga ilang buwan lamang," Fernandez said.
"Pati po yung mga tricycle drivers, mga vendors, mga jeepney drivers, ano po, lahat ay tutulong. Kaya, ipakita natin ang pananampalataya sa pamamagitan ng ating pagtutulungan. Sana po ay magsimula na tayo sa ating pagbibigay-tulong, dasal, at panalangin," he added.
