A SUSPECTED gunrunner was killed by members of the Pampanga Intelligence Branch (PIB) during an entrapment operation launched in Barangay San Jose Malino, Mexico town.
The suspect, Bernard Dizon, a resident of Barangay Arenas in nearby Arayat town, was allegedly a notorious gunrunner who distributed firearms without proper records for use in illegal activities.
During the said entrapment operation, Dizon allegedly sensed that he was dealing with policemen posing as buyers and immediately drew a caliber 45 gun and opened fire at the implementing officers.
Members of PIB retaliated which resulted in the death of the suspect.
Seized during the operation were the caliber 45 gun used by the suspect, money and other personal belongings and a sachet of suspected shabu.
