DARIUS Beloy emerged champion anew after topping the Datba weekly singles tournament held Saturday, July 13, at the SM Lanang Premier Bowling Center.
Beloy, who also won last July 6, garnered a total of 590 pinfalls after three games. With a handicap of 30, he bested eight other players to pocket the cash prize of P450.
Kert Palces, whose handicap is 24, finished second with 586 pinfalls. He settled for the P250 runner-up prize.
Rod Tongo, who rolled 55 pins, placed third in the bowlfest that serves as qualifying for the monthly finals.
Tongo (30 handicap), however, clinched the title of a similar tournament last July 9. He hit 583 pinfalls, beating AJ Galendez (16) and Paul Palacio (30). Galendez amassed 578 while Palacio scored 563. The top three placers received P800, P400 and P200.
Another qualifying is set on Tuesday evening at the same venue.
