THE Crocs Pangil and Rovers Football Club each grabbed its second straight win as the 2nd Sparcorp Grassroots Football Cup resumed Saturday, July 13, at the Azuela Cove.
Crocs Pangil tamed the Rizal Memorial Colleges (RMC) Bulldogs, 4-1, behind the heroics of Jelene Marien Pido. Crocs Pangil also escaped past Philippine Nikkei Jin Kai International School (PNJKIS), 2-1, last July 7 in their under-13 division match.
Rovers FC, meanwhile, also eked out a 4-1 victory over PNJKIS with Joerby Anito leading the charge. South Shield FC was the last victim of Rovers FC after the latter pulled off a 1-0 triumph last weekend.
South Shield FC, however, bounced back by blanking Crocs Lolong, 10-0. Romel Bactat, Jr. lifted South Shield's feat. It was the second loss of Crocs Lolong in the tournament sanctioned by the Davao South Regional Football Association (DSRFA).
In mixed under-nine, Tamasak Panabo whipped Southshield, 4-0, while Ricspeed thrashed Davao Christian, 7-0, behind the goals of best players Juan Carlo Morales and Franzam Galleogon, respectively.
RMC and Rovers, however, figured in a scoreless draw.
