A MALE teenager was arrested by operatives of Police Station 1 for illegal possession of firearms at Rosario Street, Barangay 32, Bacolod City Saturday evening, July 13, 2019.
Police identified the suspect as John Rey Aguda, 18, of Purok Maghiliugyon, Barangay 35, Bacolod.
Police Major Jovil Sedel, chief of Police Station 1, said Sunday, July 14, 2019 that at about 11 p.m., they were informed that a group of teenagers were creating alarm and scandal at Rosario Street.
He said when authorities arrived in the area, they saw the suspect carrying a firearm.
Police recovered from Agudaís possession an improvised firearm or pin gun loaded with two live ammunition of .38 caliber revolver.
Sedel said the suspect is detained at stationís custodial facility and is facing charges for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
