FIVE drug personalities were arrested by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Central Luzon during a drug bust launched in Angeles City on Sunday night, July 14.
PDEA-Central Luzon director Gil Pabilona identified the suspects as Demetrio Docena aka “Jay R,” 34; Tony Luto, 29; Larry Platones, 23; Danilo Largo, 37; and Vicente Aquino, 26, all residents of Angeles City.
The arrest transpired after Docena handed over the sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu to a PDEA agent who acted as poseur buyer in front of drug den in Hadrian 3 Extension, Barangay Balibago in the said city, Pabilona reported.
“Docena’s cohorts were arrested inside the den while in the act of having pot session but did not resist arrest”, Pabilona said.
Seized from the suspects are nine pieces plastic sachets containing more or less 20 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P136,000, various drug paraphernalia and the drug bust money.
The suspects are now detained at the PDEA Jail Facility, Diosdado Macapagal Government Center in Barangay Maimpis in this city.
Violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Acts of 2002 are being readied for filing in court against the suspects.
