Guv turns down Provincial Governor's League post

MISAMIS Oriental Governor Yevgeny Emano said Monday, July 15, that he turned down the request of his fellow governors in the country to sit as president of the Provincial Governor's League.

Emano met with other governors in a meeting in Manila last week where he was requested to lead the organization of all provincial governors in the country.

"We had a meeting with all governors in the country ug ila ko gihangyo nga mag president sa liga sa mga gobernadores pero wala nako gidawat," Emano said.

He said he would rather spend his last term serving and thanking the people of the province.

But Emano said he would support whoever will be elected as the next president of the league.

"Lami kaayo ang ngalan nga president pero last term na nako, I want to spend it 1,000 days serving my people," Emano said.

Emano also said he would recommend Camiguin Governor Jurdin Jesus Romualdo as regional chairman.
