IEE, Buildrite, Cebu Home Builders and Boysen Paints won in the opening day of the 3rd Cebu Architects’ Basketball Club (CABC) Corporate Cup last July 14 at the Cebu Port Authority Gym.
IEE beat Land Lite, 64-57, thanks to Sam Parcon’s 25 markers. He also grabbed three rebounds and had three steals. Monticristo Salvador added 19 points and six boards.
Ayi Armenion had 21 points, eight boards and two blocks in a losing effort by Land Lite, while Mark Marquita chipped in 13.
Cebu Home Builders, on the other hand, squeaked past Pioneer Pro, 80-75. Criz Matunog tallied 24 points, six rebounds and a block, while Chester Hinagdanan had 22 markers, eight boards and five steals for Cebu Home Builders.
Fernando Tiro exploded for 29 points and five boards, while Justin Aspacio poured in 20 points and had two steals for Pioneer Pro.
Meanwhile, Boysen Paints outclassed ACC Blocks, 79-59.
Ralph Catugas scored 21 markers, grabbed five rebounds, had two steals and a block for Boysen Paints. Deisel Caadan and Duane Anino chipped in 16 and 15, respectively. Brian Acebedo had 16 points, five rebounds and two steals for ACC Blocks.
Buildrite also won its opener against Davies Paints, 84-75. Buildrite’s Michael Cinco torched the scoreboard with 43 points. He also added 12 rebounds and dished out four assists. EKA
