DO YOU remember Mommy Axel, the one who owns the maternity bag that we featured earlier this month? She just gave birth via vaginal birth after caesarian (VBAC). (Her firstborn was born via caesarian section.)

Her labor and delivery story touched the hearts of many moms as she shares her story in her FB page (Dabawenya Mommy).

She started what they considered before finally choosing VBAC- her OB, the hospital, and financial capability. The pieces of advice from her fellow Dawow Moms helped her through the labor stage.

She went to Southern Philippines Medical Center but was told to go home since she was still at 2cm. What's sadder was that they forgot their hospital bag in the taxi.

Her labor pain continues at home. When her water broke, she went to a paanakan for an IE, but the midwife urged her to rush to the hospital. She described the scene like something that happens in a teleserye- she was shaking in pain!

Hailing a taxi was also difficult because there was no available since it was rush hour. Until an LTO personnel assisted them, requesting a passenger to prioritize them because it was an emergency.

While on the way to the hospital, she could feel her body pushing so her mom told her to push hard.

"And that's what I did. One great, long push. I felt someting slippery out of my body. And then, there were no more pain. My mom caught my son, and then placed him near my chest. Grabbed whatever clothes in the bag, para baluton sya. Finally, despite sa darkness sa sulod sa taxi, despite sa small space, despite sa pagka uyog, I saw his face. I heard his cry. I felt his warm body. I can't believe it. I did it. We did it," Axel wrote.

Mommy Axel expressed her gratitude to her #momtribe who helped her with that glorious moment of her life.

"Without them, baka hindi ko na kinaya," she said.

Mommy Axel's VBAC story is definitely one for the books! You made it, Mother!

NOTE: If you are also planning for a VBAC, it is best to consult with your OB. VBAC is not recommended to other pregnant moms.
