JULY is considered as the National Disaster Resilience Month, thus the local government unit (LGU) of Victorias City headed by Mayor Francis Frederick “Wantan” Palanca observed it by doing a public demonstration as to how the LGU is prepared to respond to emergencies.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) - Victorias City Fire Station headed by Fire Inspector Harry Fernandez and Victorias City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) headed by Mr. Rodolfo QE Retirado III demonstrate exterior firefighting operation and the use of the self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), a respiratory device that contains and delivers breathable compressed air.
This was held at the city’s public plaza.
Mayor Palanca has enjoined everyone to take precautionary measures as one vital prevention and assured the city that the LGU, the BFP and CDRRMO are ready to respond anytime in case of emergency.
