Avoid routes with major road repairs

PRIVATE car owners are advised to take alternate ways away from major roads that are currently undergoing renovation works in Iloilo City.

“Motorists are advised, if possible to avoid the said streets and take alternative routes to minimize traffic congestions. We already disseminated advisory flyers to riding public and gave them to vehicle owners at mall parking lots,” PSTMO head Jeck Conlu said.

“We were assured there’s no re-routing to PUJs but provide alternative to private vehicles to decongest the construction sites. We agreed to work on one lane at a time. And to finish within certain period provided on normal weather condition and no untoward incidents will happen,” Conlu said.

“They should also install warning devices and signages, and construction workers were trained on basic signaling for traffic management,” he added.
