TO CUT down the payroll tasks of human resource (HR) professionals from days to just seconds, Salarium, a payroll processing software offers automation to Cebu-based companies for their employees’ salary management.

Judah Hirsch, Salarium chief executive officer, said using the software would save time and energy as well as reskill HR personnel from the arduous task of manual payroll processing.

“Reskilling is for everyone’s advantage. For the company, it means enhancing the current and trusted workforce you have by taking away automatable tasks and letting them focus on their true expertise and on newly-developed skills,” he said during a business roundtable event in Cebu Thursday, July 18, 2019.

Karl Panahon, solutions consultant of Salarium, said they are hoping to attract more companies to use the software as Cebu continues to grow at a faster rate compared to Manila.

“Cebu-based companies are very receptive to technology,” he said.

Salarium’s current client profile includes healthcare client outsourcing and hotels in Cebu, among others.

Salarium in 2016 received authorization from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas to begin running its application, SALPay.

The company said it has helped 500 companies automate their payroll system. Salarium aims to be the go-to payroll solution for businesses by providing a cutting edge software at an economical price point.

Streamlining processes

“Technology comes in to help you streamline in terms of efficiency. Technology could actually help HR practitioners to realize these goals where process-heavy activities can be brought down from hours to just a few seconds,” Panahon said.

Salarium keeps track of all company’s manpower movements and will cut the time spent by the HR personnel for any administrative works.

Donna Campogan, finance officer for engineering and construction support firm TecSurge, said using Salarium eased their burdens during payrolls.

She said it gave their HR personnel more time to spend on other tasks like hiring employees.

“HR will have a better insight on the hiring process and everything in-between. From that, they can gather enough data to initiate changes or make recommendations for the betterment of the workforce in the company,” she said.

In Cebu, Salarium’s payroll disbursement method is a convenient electronic wallet that makes transactions, shopping and online banking easier for employees. (JOB)
