La Salle, NU manguna sa Kadayawan Sports Fest



ANG De La Salle University (DLSU) Green Archers ug National University (NU) Bulldogs manguna sa 34th Kadayawan Sports Festival Commercial Invitational Basketball Tournament, Agosto 11 ngadto 14 sa Almendras Gym Davao City Recreation Center.

Kini ang giyagyag ni Miguel Solitaria, nga nagrepresenta ni Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) 11 operations head Ronel Leuterio, atol sa Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum sa The Annex sa SM City Davao.

“Completing the four-team tournament are Cebu-based Cesafi teams Southwestern Visayas University and Western Visayas University. They are arriving on the 10th so we will have the draw lots by then and determine the games schedule to be fair to everyone,” sigun niya.

DUgang niya nga sagad sa tim moparada sa ilang UAAP 16-man lineup, dugang pa nga matag tim may import.

Si Sports Development Division of the City Mayor’s Office (SDD)-CMO sports coordinator Daniel Saguilo nagsulti nga may cash prizes nga ihatag sa mananaug.

Ni Saguilo, “Less taxes, the champion team will receive P100,000 while the runner-up will get P60,000. The third will claim P40,000 and the fourth placer with P30,000.”

Ang MVP (most valuable player) ug best coach mouli uban ang P5,000.

SBP 11 referees commissioner lawyer Francis Calatrava, nagsulti nga malaumon silang si Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio motambong sa opening rites.

“We expect SDD-CMO chief (Mikey Aportadera) to join us. SBP regional director Glenn Escandor is more than happy to grace the occasion,” niya.
