Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. (MMPC) once again co-sponsored the 7th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit held on July 17 to 18 at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.
Organized by the Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP), the event annually gathers key stakeholders from both the public and private sectors. This 2019, the theme focused on, “Electric Vehicles: Modernizing the Transportation Landscape, Driving Sustainable Growth.”
For this two-day event, MMPC showcased its 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle), Europe’s best-selling plug-in hybrid vehicle from 2015-2018 and the Mitsubishi i-MiEV, a pure electric vehicle.
Customers also had the chance to experience and test drive the Outlander PHEV which recently bagged the “2019 Best Plug-in Vehicle” award by Company Car and Van Magazine in the United Kingdom and the “2019 Green SUV of the Year” award from Green Car Journal in the United States.
A resource speaker from Mitsubishi Motors Corp. (MMC), assistant corporate general manager of product strategy division and general manager of EV Solution Department, Takashi Hiromatsu from Japan shared among others, Mitsubishi Motors’ rich history in EV and its vision for the future. The Dendo Drive House, a packaged system of EV/PHEV, a bi-directional charger, solar panels and home battery was also presented.
MMPC has been in the forefront and is actively pursuing EV demonstration projects with various Philippine government agencies and EV stakeholders to utilize the e-mobility as a social infrastructure in the near future. PR
